Braided yeasted cake filled with cinnamon sugar and topped with cream cheese frosting. Reminiscent of a cinnamon bun. This sweet bread has strong cinnamon sugar and cream cheese flavour. So, why settle for a bun when you can have a whole loaf?!

Product comes frozen and is baked at home.

Baking Instructions

  1. Brush loaf pan with oil and line with parchment paper and place frozen babka in the lined loaf pan and thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
  2. Place the loaf pan in the middle rack of a cool oven, and a small pot of hot water at the bottom rack of the oven and close the oven door so the steam stays in.
  3. Let it proof for 1hr – 2hrs or when doubled in size.
  4. Remove proofed babka and pre-heat oven to 350°F - 375°F.
  5. Bake for 30-35 min or when the toothpick comes out clean.
  6. While the babka is baking, make a simple syrup by mixing and boiling water and sugar (40g water with 40g granulated sugar)
  7. Let the simple syrup cool until the babka is done baking
  8. Once the babka is baked, brush the simple syrup onto the bread to keep it moist. Use all of the simple syrup
  9. Top with toppings if available, and let it cool in the loaf pan for 5-10 min before removing and placing it on a cooling rack. Enjoy!

About Leavenly Goods

Hi! My name is Racel, founder of Leavenly Goods Inc.

Baking has been my hobby and passion for many years. I initially worked in a small bakery and learned some of my skills and techniques there. I fell in love with baking and its complicity so I  started sharing my creations with my family and friends. They would often tell me, “you should start your own bakery.” So I did! I left my full-time job, took a chance, and never looked back.

My goal was to share my culture and creation to my customers. You will find some Filipino classics throughout our website and some daily baked breads where I incorporated a Filipino twist in it.
